New Business Ellen Cameron will send out survey on climate change, also on town website Staff Reports Christine Dean  Registration for spring session ongoing  National Public Health Week highlights trainings in mindfulness, insomnia cycle, SHINE, cardiovascular health, sound bath  Track walk 4/8 5PM  Pinemeadows Golf course open, new playground fence, tent up 5/1-10/1  New signage, new Lincoln Park fitness stations Michelle Kelleher, Senior Services Director End of April end of 80+ classes; 2 OWLL courses canceled Regis Health and Wellness ongoing Salem Cross Inn and Quabbin reservoir trip 4/22 Vaccines, wellness being brought to homebound Dana Bickelman-Director, Human Services Job searches for manager of transportation, senior manager Update on Articles 24, 32 and 33 prior to town mtg New program to make donations to help older people w/taxes,now 5 plans to help w/taxes Art 32 Change name Executive Office of Elder Affairs to Executive Office of Aging and Independence (AGE) Art 33 Universal design important,should be included Motions: COA Board unanimously supports articles 24, 32, 33 Communication Tools John Zhao create listserve to share information AgeFriendly Subcommittee Update  Meet and Greets-Ellen, Charles visited Brookhaven, plan to visit Lexington at Home, Vinebrook, Countryside, police and Sherrif’s department o BH Residents unaware of transportation available, would like more, along w/ tech training; expressed appreciation to visit and knowing about Lexington resources. Plan to build relationship w/BH  Meet and Greet at Community Center prior to COA mtg 6/3 at 1:30  Parking passes 2621; Arlington provides permanent sticker Liason Reports Minuteman Senior Services Sudhir Jain Older Deaf Lobby Day 5/6 at State House;Healthy Living, SHINE, improved dementia program (Medicare) Care for Caregivers group Wednesdays 5-6 PM at COA Burlington Volunteer celebration 4/22 at Scottish Museum Transportation – Sudhir Transportation Advisory board will come to COA, Michelle to invite; resources for transport may be limited due to high school construction cost FCOA Sudhir– new, younger members needed; COA requested $300 funding for meet and greets; 20+ submissions for Lifetime; transportation for senior dance in October needed, will discuss future mtg Commission on Disablity –Janet Perry- no update Housing Authority Sue Rockwell– no update Housing Partnership Sandra Hackman -recommendation for Selectboard; universal design needs educating community, good principles Vision for Lexington – John Zhao proposed budget $75,000 for vision of Lexington survey Mental Health – Ellen Cameron, Jyotsna Kakullavarapu, no update Strategic Equity Ellen Cameron no update Center Committee – no update Meeting adjourned: 4:00 PM Next meeting May 6, 2026 Hybrid, Community Center, 2:30-4PM.
