Announcements:  Janet Perry announced that Lion’s Club is giving away medical equipment, an electric scooter, to anyone who can take and use permanently  Senior dance scheduled for 10/4/26 2-5 PM at cost $25 pp New Business Introduction: Vannak Khin, new Community Engagement Coordinator-part time to assist with language access, communication, support to Human Services Staff Reports Christine Dean  Travis, Mike and Stephen have done great job w/snow removal, in addition to all their routine duties  Dept of Public Facilities bid to contractors out to repair slate roof, probably 5/26. More work next year.  New furniture ordered for Community Center w/W B Mason Michelle Kelleher, Senior Services Director  Meeting with Selectboard re: goals for town: downtown vibrancy, parking, affordability,DEI  Senior Activities: o AARP volunteer counselors for tax help-80 sign-ups o Dietician Barbara Collins 1:1 appointments Fridays 10-2 PM o Buried in Treasures 8 wk course 8 wk course o Life Transition Binder Workshop 3/26-4/16 sign up o Parking passes permanent, no renewals \[Type here\] Town Meeting Article 24 to support disabled and older people on property taxes, should COA support #24? Take a vote and make a statement? After 4/1 should COA educate people? AgeFriendly Subcommittee Update  Brief new definition of what it does unanimously approved  “On the Road” Board members to meet and greet at 3 senior villages and Waterstone, Brookhaven- who we are, what we do Julie B and Charles to coordinate 116 Vine Street housing project--.7 acres, witih up to 6 units--needs creative ideas to enable developers to bid on the project. Julie Ann and Sandra reviewing history and plans. Sandra will meet w/Wendy, chair of the Housing Partnership Board, and Elaine Tuhng, and chair of the Affordable Housing Trust, about funding sources. Housing Partnership Sandra Hackman Affordable units 10%, would like more, midlevel. Meet w/Selectboard 4/26 ; LexHab working on building ADUs o John and Michelle will create Age Friendly listserve o John researched transportation in neighboring towns Liason Reports Minuteman Senior Services Sudhir Jain 28 year volunteer Jim Loggia honored Stats: 15,314 meals in Lexington served 11,665 individuals, families served 708 abuse/neglect reports filed 3000+ case management requests 191 caregiver programs 52 people rec’d bill paying support 137 employees Transportation – Sudhir no update FCOA Sudhir– 78 registered members, Lifetime production, applications to Dana Home for grants Fundraised $9883, expenses $5031 Commission on Disablity –Janet Perry- Met 2/24. Dana sent out survey to businesses to design workshop to assist them in serving disabled, senior patrons; difficult for disabled to participate in zero waste initiatives; need more handicapped parking in parks. Michelle \[Type here\] will send notice of lunch and learn waste program 3/19 to COD, LexMedia will video Housing Authority Sue Rockwell– Close to hiring an HR director for housing in several towns: RFP for Countryside rehab sent out, budget $1.5 million Housing Partnership Sandra Hackman Housing Partnership: Meets w/Selectboard to discuss its plan for more mid-level and affordable housing 4/27; LexHab working on building affordable ADUs.
