A meeting of the Lexington Energy Conservation Committee was held on October 4, 2017, 6:OOpm to
7:30pm at the Public Services Building, Bedford St., Room 211.
The notes from the meeting are:
1)Approval of prior meeting minutes -Approved 10/4/2017
2) Discuss plans for ECC's coming year's meeting agenda
o Members discussed the BOS FY2017-FY2018 goals as related to the ECC original input to
the BOS. Specifically,the committee reviewed goals 8 and 9. Some of the thoughts
not in priority order were:
o How to get beyond a check list(threshold design)?
o Customer/Design team should think out-of-the—box(net zero)
o Include a "green" Engineer/Consultant during concept.
o ECC and SustainableLex work directly with customer and concept design team via the
green engineer.
o Establish energy density goals for new and updated buildings
• Work with BOS to review the municipal and school building process to
promote town committee inclusion as appropriate on future energy goals.
