HomeMy WebLinkAbout2026-04-13 SB-minSELECT BOARD MEETING Monday, April 13, 2026 A meeting of the Lexington Select Board was called to order at 6:00p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, via a hybrid meeting platform. Ms. Hai, Chair; Mr. Pato, Vice Chair; Mr. Sandeen, Mr. Lucente, and Ms. Kumar were present, as well as Town Manager, Mr. Bartha; Deputy Town Manager, Ms. Axtell; and Executive Assistant, Ms. Katzenback. ITEMS FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION 1. 2026 Annual Town Meeting Select Board Article Discussion and Positions Ms. Hai explained that, as previously discussed by the Board, a Budget Summit will be called regarding the floor amendment to the FY27 budget, which was presented during the first evening of Town Meeting. The Budget Summit will take place on Monday evening, April 27th 2026. The process will be to gavel Town Meeting to order, with the Moderator immediately calling a recess. The Budget Summit will then be held. When the Summit concludes, time permitting, Town Meeting will reopen and proceed. Ms. Hai noted that the revised motion under Article 34 was posted this morning to the Town website, and the proponent sent it around over the weekend on the TMMA list.Given the changes that have been incorporated and the fact that the substance of both potential amendments is represented, it is not anticipated that amendments will be presented. Exemption 2: To Conduct Strategy Session in Preparation for Contract Negotiations with Nonunion Personnel - Town Manager VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, by roll call, the Select Board voted 5-0 at 6:10pm that the Select Board go into Executive Session under Exemption 2: To Conduct Strategy Session in Preparation for contract Negotiations with Nonunion Personnel - Town Manager, and not to reconvene in Open Session. Further, it was declared that an open meeting discussion may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the Town. ADJOURN VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, by roll call, the Select Board voted 5-0 from the Executive Session to adjourn both the Executive Session and the Regular Meeting at 6:30pm The next scheduled meeting of the Select Board will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 6:00pm via hybrid participation.
