A meeting of the Sustainable Lexington Committee (SLC) was held jointly with the Permanent
Building Committee (PBC) on Zoom and at the 201 Bedford St 2nd floor training room.
Members Present: Cindy Arens (chair), Celis Brisbin, Lin Jensen, Dan Voss, Kavitha
Venkatesan, Kavita Ravi
Members Absent: Todd Rhodes, Rick Reibstein, Andy Joynt
NO VOTES were taken by the committee.
The meeting was called to order at approximately 6:03pm
Full, detailed meeting minutes can be found with the March 26, 2026 PBC meeting minutes.
The Design Development construction project costs were presented to be $1.6M lower than
Schematic Design costs due to identified Target Value Design savings. The final DD
construction project costs won’t be available until April 6 when they are presented to the SBC.
The dropped mechanical room and geothermal vault was included in DD costs since more
space was needed for the mechanical room. Chuck and Mike Cronin are going to have a
separate meeting with the design team because this is not what was costed in SD.
The DD costs also no not include costs for raising the top floor height which is needed for
mechanical space.
D+W will provide PBC and SLC members with the full design package once it is available.
Another round of TVD can happen in September when more construction docs will be further
along.
The committee lost quorum at approximately 7:50 pm.
