Minutes of Meefing
March 31, 2026 via Zoom Teleconference

Meefing Opened
Co-Chair Sudha Balasuryan officially opened the meefing at 7:00 PM, and recited the Zoom
introduction and instructions.
Housekeeping
Co-Chair Dave Grabel noted that some TCC members were absent due to religious holidays.
The Town Celebration Committee (TCC) 03/25/2026 meeting minutes prepared by Lorain
Marquis were reviewed by Dave who made minor edits. A mofion was made to approve the
minutes and they were unanimously approved by the members present.
Patriots' Day Parade
Cerise noted that the credentials for all TCC members are at her house.
Cerise wants to finalize the list of golf cart drivers.
Saturday, 4/11/26 prepare the number signs for the parade lineup at Cerise's, 9:00 AM.
TCC will help with the Lexington Minute Men VIP area starting at 4:15 AM on April 18.
Cerise will coordinate with Bonnie who will help with parade volunteer training.
The parade sequence will be finalized and the division assignments for the golf carts will be
determined. There are 12 golf carts; each will be assigned to 14-15 units to keep the parade
units moving and to assist where needed.
Tuesday, April 7, Stakeholders meeting at 12 noon.
Friday, April 17 meet at Mass. Ave. and Maple St. at 9:00 AM to help stake the parade lineup.
Friday, April 17 golf cart driving lessons on Lois Lane at 3:00 PM (the 1St annual Lois Lane 500).
Sandy met with the DPW to review TCC requests for Patriots' Day.
Linda noted that the higher level sponsors will be pre-posifioned near the front of the parade.
Parade Sponsors: Sudha reported that $37,790 was committed and $34,550 has been received.
Banners are being ordered; some sponsors are ordering their own (Elemental Health and Mass
Health Connector).
Bonnie sent out proofs for all the signs and is waifing for feedback and approval to print. None
were noted. Dave asked her to send the final proofs to him, Sondra, and Sue. It was decided to
make all new signs rather than try to reuse any that may be in storage. The estimate is $155.
There are 18 adult volunteers and Dave asked TCC to reach out to family and friends to get
more helpers. They will be assigned to parade units.
Ashley has gotten a lot of feedback on the publicity; all posifive and like the grand marshals.
The Lex250 calendar will be corrected.
Awards Ceremony: The details are coming together and upon consultation with presenters the
presentafion fimes have been adjusted.
Ambassador Program: Sudha reported that there are 26 of the 40 required. Linda noted that
there are teams and solos were teamed up. There are about 80 volunteers for the 40
ambassadors. Linda and Sandy will work on getting more.
Other Business: Sue noted that she got the LexFun car info and they plan to have music and a
bubble machine. Pam confirmed that the application had that information.
Parade entrants need to submit W9s to the town to get paid.
