Re: New development – Lexington Woods -Parcel 68-44
The Commission on Disability wishes to support the proposal of the
Transportation Advisory Committee concerning the new development on Parcel
68-44 known as Lexington Woods.
The Commission voted unanimously in support of the plan that the new
development should:
1. Install an accessible bus shelter;
2. Provide Lexpress bus passes to each unit free of charge in perpetuity,
providing one per unit annually at the cost of $20 each pre year.
This will demonstrate that the development embraces important Lexington
values such as affordable housing and cleaner environment through reduction in
greenhouse gas emissions.
The Commission also welcomes any updates on this project that the project
proponents can provide. Please contact vbuckley@rcn.com to arrange time on the
Commission agenda.
