HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-06-05-CPAC-min COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 6, 2019 The meeting of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC), held in Parker Room, 1625 Massachusetts Ave, was called to order at 7:29pm, by Co-Chair Sarah Felton. CPAC members: Ruixi Yuan, Marilyn Fenollosa, Matthew Daggett, Sarah Felton, Camille Goodwin, Leonard Morse-Fortier, and Pat Sullivan were present. The CPAC meeting was also attended by Planning Board members Ginna Johnson and Richard Canale, planning staff Molly Belanger and project consultant Jeff Dietrich. *********Continued Review of Lexington Transportation Trends ************ The CPAC reviewed the “Bicycling in Lexington” and “Lexington Next: Walkable Communities” presentations from the April 4 “Getting Lexington There” public forum. **********************Trend Report Summaries ********************** HSH has prepared graphics with interesting facts and statistics that have been culled from the Trend Reports; these graphics will be shared on the CPAC website, on social media, and we will look to create more graphics and to share them through other mediums. Action item for committee members: Within the next two weeks, each committee member will select a trend report presentation that they did not contribute to and will select 3-4 notable facts that could be worthy of its own graphic and will send them Molly and Jeff. *****************************Other Business**************************** Discovery Day - The CPAC table at Discovery Day was a great success; HSH is still compiling data collected from the various interactive display boards to share with the committee. Gnatt Chart Update – At the next CPAC meeting we will review and prioritize a list of representatives from town departments and committees that we would like to come in to present to the CPAC; At the next meeting the committee will also review the schedule for the next set of trend report presentations (land use, natural resources, historic preservation); no public presentations will be scheduled during school summer vacation. Draft plan development process – As an agenda item for an upcoming meeting, the CPAC would like to discuss our approach for crafting the draft plan at an upcoming meeting.
