Unquestionably a school library could be built far less, but your
committee in formulating these plans considered that this is a Piemorial
Library to thase who served and died in the service of their' countrp
and believed that the town would feel that this was nat the occasioaa
f'or econom alone, but far a true expression of appreciation to these
citizens, A bare library is a necessity in any high school building,
but these plans embpdy something a,bove and beyonci the mere necessity.
Although it is not the responsibility of this committee to make
further recommendatians, we feel it is our duty to call to the att- ,
ention of the town that there,is a desire on the part of a number of I
citiaens that a plaque or some suitable listing of veterans natnes I
appear in the Cary Memorial Ha11 or some other suitable meeting placeo
