A meeting of the Lexington Energy Conservation Committee was held on November 2, 2016, 6:00pm to
7:30pm at the Public Services Building, Bedford St., Room 221.
The Agenda for the meeting is anticipated to be:
1) Approval of prior meeting minutes
2) Discussion on how to enhance collaboration with Sustainable Lexington
3) Update from DPF
4) Update from DPW
5) Communication status
6) Ongoing projects
Meeting Minutes
Discussions for collaboration with Sustainable Lexington continued with getting
ECC members involved with revising the 2005 Board of Selectmen Sustainable
Design Policy, a 2017 goal for the Board of Selectmen.
Shawn Newell delivered a message that Mark Sandeen ask if any members will
be attending the 11/21/16 Board of Selectmen’s Meeting. Mark will be making a
presentation on sustainable design criteria for town and school buildings. A new
policy, adopted by the Board of Selectmen before the end of February, 2017, can
be designed into the schematic design costs for the Hastings School Project.
Discussions on the Hartwell Ave Solar site timeline for completion of
construction and ribbon cutting. The contractor Solar City timeline was pushed
out for a possible April completion date with a ribbon cutting soon to follow.
