Meeting Times:
Description: There shall be a Water/Sewer Abatement Board consisting of three menibers appointed by fhe Board
of Selectmen. Members shall serve three-year terms with one member's term expiring each year.
The duties of the Board shall include,but not be limited to,the receipt of applications from ratepayers for abatement
ar adjustment of water/sewer charges due to disputes,hardship or error; and,the establishment of policies and
procedures to guide said Board in the determination of the amount of any adjustment or abatement of charges. Such
determinations shall constitute a recommendation that must be submitted to the Board of Selectmen for final
approval.
Policies and procedures developed by the Water/Sewer Abatement Board shall be effective upon approval by the
Board of Selectmen.
The Assistant Town Manager for Finance or his designee shall serve as staff to the Water and Sewer Abatement
Board.
