TO THE PUBLIC.
In consequence of the evident feeling of distrust which exists at the present time in relation to the wholesome condition of the
beef furnished to the markets of Boston and vicinity, and to allay any alarm which may exist respecting it,the undersigned would
certify that they have made and sball enforce regulations to prevent the slaughtering of any cattle at Brighton but those which have
been inspected by a competent officer and pronounced perfectly healthy. We also recommend to the municipal authorities of those
towns which supply Milk for the markets that they appoint Inspectors in their several localities, and allow only the milk of healthy
herds to be forwarded. LEVI STOCKBRIDGE,
