To the Selectman of Lexington in
said County:
You are hereby notified that we intend to license Charles Adair
a Licensed Innholder
in said Lexington, and having his place
of business in a two and one half story wooden
Building situated on the north side of Main
Street in said Lexington, said building being known as the "Monument House"
to be a seller of intoxicating liquors, at said place of business to be drunk upon
his premises.
And within fourteen days from the service of this notice you may, in writing, object
to said license, on the ground of unfitness of said Adair to
exercise the same.
Dated at Lowell this first day
of September, AD 1868.
