HomeMy WebLinkAbout2283 Report of a committee on procuring a safe for town records, May 17, 1852The Selectmen to whom the 9th article in a warrant for a Town Meeting held March 1st 1852 was refered to wit. "Art 9 To see if the Town will Authorise the Selectmen to procure a Safe for the safe keeping of municipal and other Records of the Town". have attended to that duty and report. That we have made enquiry in relation to the expense of a Safe and we estimate the cost at 125 dollars for a Safe of sufficient size to contain all the most valuable records of the Town and considering as we do the great value of the municipal Records of the Town and their liability to be destroyed by fire we recommend to the Town to authorise the Selectmen to procure a Safe for the safe keeping of Municipal and other Records of the Town Lexington May 17 1852.
