HomeMy WebLinkAbout2272 Report of a committee on school district boundaries, no date but presumed 1851The Committee chosen by the Town Jan'u 20 "81 [1851] to establish the lines of the several School Districts by metes and bounds & subsequently "instructed to make such alter- -ations in the boundaries of any of the Districts as in their judgment the convenience of the inhabitants may require" Report the following proposed alterations in the lines around the centre District Begining at a point near the House of the late Otis Locke thence - to a point or bound on the county road in front of the house of Mr Saville - thence to an Oak tree on land & west of the House of George W. Robinson - thence to a point or bound on the road leading from "Vine Corner" by the House of Nehemi- ah Wellington 5 Rods West of the Oak Tree at said "Vine Corner" - thence to a Guide Post where the Old Road to Waltham inter- -sects the road leading from A.W. Bryant's to Jonas A Welling -ton's House - thence - to a point or bound on "Huncus [?] Hill" so called - And the following alteration in the line between the South & West Districts commencing at the corner of Lexington Waltham and Lincoln - thence to a point or bound on the Old "Concord Turnpike" - thence to the point or bound 5 rods West of the Oak tree at Vine Corner leaving Humphry Chadbourne in the South District Submitted by} Isaac M.
