HomeMy WebLinkAbout2263 Report, committee on the condition of the Centre District schoolhouse, April 7, 1851The Committee chosen to take into consideration the 12th Article in the warrant of March Meeting last & report their doings therein have attended that duty & make the following report - Your Committee having examined the School house in the Centre District & are of opinion that the said house is not large enough to accomodate the Scholars in the said District & that the lot on which the same is located is small & unsuitable for a School house lot. They therefore recommend that the town purchase a lot of land on Waltham Street, and erect & finish throughout a suitable house on the same to accomodate the Scholars in said districts, and the whole expense of the same not to exceed twenty five hundred dollars in addition to the proceeds of the present house & land, which they recomend to sell.
