Meeting called to order 7:08p.m. by Andra Bennett, Co-Chair, in Mr. Manz' absence.
1. With few small edits, minutes from previous meeting were approved.
2. Ms Barrett suggested lowering pass prices(significantly) and eliminating 6-month and 3-month
passes. This was followed byalively discussion. Noconclusions reached. TAC asked for more
hard numbers from the past and anything to help understand Ms Barrett's projected sales from
her recommendations.
3. During the discussion, unew issue came up: in201Owhile 4Oone-year passes were sold, @8
passes were "subsidized" (given) by Human Services Dept for those they deem needy. These 68
brought$0 to Lexpress. TAC was totally unaware that the number of"subsidized" passes had
grown sovery large. Areview with Human Services, and possibly with our new Selectman
liaison, seemed inorder.
4. Ms Barrett also made a few service recommendations, having to do with summer Minuteman
Tech route, 7:3Oa.no. route, and Route 4. She recommended tweaks such aythese but no
major changes onroutes now because next year may bring major changes.
5. Mr.Jain had several suggestions about Senior fares, mainly that service be free all day. He
suggested seniors would like special privileges. This was noted but not discussed.
6. MsBarrett reported:
a. That she and Ms Verma met about 40th anniversary celebration—ideas included in
report she prepared for committee;
b. that letter went out to MBTA about proposed fare raises (moot now)—also in packet;
c. that plans for Bus Walk Bike Week are underway—draft inthe packet.
7. Public comment brought byMsBarrett: Comment from Lexprensrider who has noumnartphone
and would not be able to use microtransit, Minuteman Tech requests Lexpress service to their
campus on a regular basis,Aloft& Element Hotels would like better public transit services.
8. TAC set NEXT MEETING,TUESDAY, APRIL 2, because April 8,when previously scheduled, is
Town Meeting.
Meeting adjourned aty:O0.
