MEETING MINUTES
February 26, 2019
The meeting of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC), held in the Parker Room,
1625 Massachusetts Ave, was called to order at 7:24pm,by Co-Chair Ruixi Yuan. CPAC
members in attendance: Matthew Daggett, Sarah Felton, Leonard Morse-Fortier, Pat Sullivan,
Hema Bhatt, Marilyn Fenollosa, Stacey Beuttell, Chris Senna, Carol Sue Hai and Ruixi Yuan.
The CPAC meeting was also attended by Town Staff Carol Kowalski and Molly Belanger, HSH
consultant Jeff Dietrich, Selectman Joe Pato, and Planning Board members Richard Canale and
Ginna Johnson.
*****COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE PRESENTATION*****
The CPAC reviewed the schedule of working group presentations and confirmed the assignments
for each group.
• March 7 - Demographics (Estabrook Hall, 7pm)
• March 21 —Residential and Housing—Matt Daggett will be presenting along with Liz
Rust and Chris Kluchman(Hadley Building, 7pm)
• April 4 - Transportation -Pat Sullivan, Stacey Beuttell, and Susan Barrett(town
transportation coordinator)
• April 23 —Economic Development- Town Economic Development staff will be
presenting
*************COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WEBSITE, PLAN NAME**************
The proposed name of the Comprehensive Plan is "Lexington Next."
The formal launch of the website will occur in the next several weeks.
**************************WORKING GROUPS
Historic Resources Working Group—Carol K. will schedule working group meetings to confirm
scope of trends CPAC wants to explore and feedback CPAC wants to elicit from public.
Natural Resources/Open Space Working Group—Ray and Stacey;planning staff will reach out to
other Lexington stakeholders that may want to engage on this issue and will schedule a meeting
for the working group.

Working groups will all meet prior to each of their respective meetings.
""""""PREPARATION FOR PLANNING BOARD WORKSHOP***********
The Planning Board Workshop will take place at the Diamond Middle School, 7:30pm Thursday
2/28.
Sarah and Richard will introduce CPAC members to attendees and will provide a summary of the
CPAC's goals and work accomplished to date.
The meeting will include two breakout sessions for three working groups - Transportation,
economic development, and housing.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES************************
The Minutes from the February 5 CPAC meeting were approved unanimously.
OTHER BUSINESS***************************
Carol K. will provide an update to Board of Selectman on the Comprehensive Plan on March 5.
MEETING ADJOURNED*************************
ACTION: on a motion duly made and seconded the Committee voted to adjourn at 8:20pm. All
approved.
