HomeMy WebLinkAbout2104 Warrant for Town Meeting to be held on August 3, 1829; warrant is dated July 25, 1829Capt. Daniel Chandler Constable of the town of Lexington. Greeting. You are hereby required in the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, to notify & warn the male inhabitants of said town who are qualified to act in town affairs to assemble at the Meetinghouse on Monday the third day of August next at 5 oclock P.M. to act on the following articles; viz. Article 1. To choose a Moderator. " 2. To ascertain if the town will adopt meas -ures to repair the County Road recently laid out over the Cambridge & Concord Turnpike & grant money for the same " 3. To see if the town will authorise their Treasurer to pay the State tax out of the Contingent grant, or act on any thing appertaining thereunto " 4. To know if the town will adopt any measures in relation to the order of notice from the County Commissioners on the petition of John Parker & others for a Road from near William Simonds to Waltham Hereof fail not & make return of this warrant & your doings therein on or before the time prefixed.
