Daniel Chandler Constable of the town Lexington- Greeting You are hereby required in the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to notify & warn the male inhabitants of the town of Lexington who are qualified to act in town affairs to assemble at the Meetinghouse in sd. town on Monday the 16th. of Novr. instant at 4 oclock P.M. to act on the following articles. viz. Article 1. To choose a Moderator. " 2. To to take into consideration the petition of Daniel Shattuck & others for a new highway in Lexington & act thereon. Hereof fail not & make return of this warrant & your doings therein on or before the time prefexed. Given under our hands at Lexington this 2nd day of Nov. 1829 Nathaniel Mulliken Francis Wyman Benja O Wellington } Selectmen of Lexington By virtue of the within warrant to me directed. I have notified the Inhabitants as specified within to assemble at the place, time, and for the purposes mentioned in the warrant. Lexington Nov. 16th 1829 Dan'l Chandler Constable 1. Nathan Chandler Esqr. was chosen moderator. 2. Voted to choose a committee of 7 to oppose the laying out of said road. Messers. Nathaniel Mulliken, Jonas Munroe, Samuel Chandler, Hammond A. Harmon, John Mulliken jur, William Chandler, Abner Pierce were chosen. Votes to instruct said committee to use their utmost exertion by themselves or Counsell to prevent the laying out said road. Voted to dissolve this meeting 2103
