Motion: Meeting called to order at 7:50am by Seth Moeller, seconded by Ellen Day. All
in favor 7-0.
I. Welcome/Announcements/Parent Feedback -Questions for the group
• Jenny: Staffing/hiring update for 2019-2020 school year was provided and
preview of the upcoming "Step Up Day" for students in June.
• Parent shared questions/comments regarding the previous evening's PTA event,
"Passport to the World" and upcoming Field Day & volunteering/donations needs.
II. School Improvement Plan 2019-2020 - Review of Draft
• Jenny communicated Dr. Hackett's recommendation of maintaining the general
SIP for the coming year; reflecting edits and changes as needed.
• Prior to meeting, a DRAFT of the SIP was shared and feedback offered by
council members.
• Additionally, it was discussed and deemed appropriate to delete sections based
on relevance (ie. "to help ensure a smooth transition from one principal to the
next..").
• The council engaged in discussion of remaining action items which included
updates as they related to the various categories of "No Action" or "On Going".
• Changes were noted in the plan and a final draft will be shared with council
members for feedback prior to submission to Superintendent Hackett.
