MEETING MINUTES
BOARD OF REGISTRARS
October 3, 2018
The meeting of the Board of Registrars was called to order at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday,
October 3, 2018 in the Reed Rom, Town Office Building, 1625 Massachusetts Avenue.
Present: Registrars, Gordon Jones, Chair, Judy Moore, Mark Vitunic and Town Clerk,
Nathalie Rice.
Approval of Alternate Early Voting Location:
MOTION: That the Cary Memorial Building be designated as Lexington’s alternate
location for Early Voting.
Motion approved.
Discussion of Upcoming November State Election:

Ms. Rice discussed the use of Poll Pads for early voting prior to the November 6 State
Election. She explained that there are no internet connections associated with Poll Pad
use, and that they simply enable voters to be checked in, and a label to be printed. The
label is scanned by staff members to enter the voter in the State database. Voters who
have voted early then appear on the voter list as having already voted.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
