I do hereby appoint you to appriase upon oath at the true value thereof in Money According to your best who has entered[?] posted and cried the same as the law directs. Skill and Judgement a cow taken up by Hammen Lock of said Lexington, having performed this service you on to Make return of this warrant into the Town Clerk Office of said Lexington within Seven days from the date hereof. Given under my hand and Seal this 5th] day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty three Nathan Chandler Justice Peace Middlesex March 4 1823 The above named William Chandler and Daniel Chandler personally appeared and Made Oath that they would faithfully and impartially perform this service to which they are appointed by the above warrant Before me Nathn Chandler Justicr Peace Lexington March 4th 1823 Middlesex Ss Pursuent to the above warrant we have appraised the above mentioned cow at twelve dollars William Chandler Daniel Chandler Stray Cow 1823.
