FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD
September 16, 2014
4:30 p.m., Selectmen’s Office
Present: Norman Cohen, Rev. Colletti, Ed Grant, Alan Wrigley, Alan Fields; Charlotte Rodgers,
Director of Human Services.
1. Money Available as of 8/31/14 Income $51,906
Principal $131,233
2. Human Services:
a. Human Services Report: April 30, 2014 to September 16, 2014.
Charlotte Rodgers reported that a number of utility bills had been paid after receiving
requests for payment. Currently being reviewed are three requests for rental
payments. Information was also presented regarding homeless families living at the
Quality Inn and plans for the future.
b. Ratify Poll Vote - Human Services Request for $2,000 for Human Services
Emergency Checking Account – Ratified 5-0. In addition, Alan Fields suggested that
a meeting should be held to discuss how the Human Services Fund administered by
the Trustees of Public Trusts, the LexHab Emergency Housing Fund and other local
charitable funds are being utilized.
c. Ratify Human Services Request - $600 for Stop & Shop Gift Cards – Ratified 5-0.
d. Ratify Human Services Request - $600 for Market Basket Gift Cards – Ratified 5-0.
3. Other Issues:
a. Norman Cohen will draft a holiday fund raising letter.
4. Next Meeting
The next meeting will be on January 27, 2015.
