2 Human Services
a. Human Services Report: October 23, 2013 to January 28, 2014
The strong need for assistance continued unabated during this period. $5,768 was
spent from the Emergency Fund. None of this expenditure involved homeless
families housed in the Quality Inn.
b Ratify Poll Vote - Human Services Request for $3,000 for Human Services
Emergency Fund (11/12/13) —Ratified 4-0
c Ratify Poll Vote—Human Services Request for $1,824 50 for Holiday Gift Cards —
Ratified 4-0
d. The Human Services New Request for $2,500 for the Human Services Emergency
Fund was approved 4-0
e Letters of thanks for gift cards were noted.
3 Other Issues
a. The East Lexington Community Association request for $1,860 00 for 2013
Flower Barrels was approved 4-0
b The Lions Club thank you letter regarding the Lincoln Field bathrooms was
noted.
c Fund for Lexington solicitation costs were $1,676 87 for printing and $1,774 78
for postage The response made the costs worthwhile
d. Three hundred and four donations totaling $31,015 between 11/18/13 and 1/24/14
were noted.
