MINUTES
FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD
December 12, 2017
4:30 p.m., Dawe’s Room, Town Offices
Present: Norman Cohen, Alan Fields, Edmund Grant, Doug Lucente, Paul Shupe, Alan Wrigley
and Charlotte Rogers, Director of Human Services.
1. Money Available as of 11/30/17: Principal $ 309,435.32
Income $ 15,125.30
2. Human Services:
a. Human Services Report: September 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017
Charlotte Rodgers reviewed the activity for the period. A general discussion was held
regarding the different sources of funds used to help residents who are in need of
assistance. During the period, the Fund dispersed $2250 to purchase TJX gift cards
for families approved by the Human Services Holiday Program. $935.00 was
dispersed to aid a family experiencing a major heating problem.
b. Ratify Human Services Request for $2250 for TJX Holiday gift cards for families in
need. Approved 6-0.
c. Ratify Human Services Request - $935 for heating system repairs. Approved 6-0.
3. Other Issues
The Fund’s annual letter requesting donations for the Fund was sent in November. As of
the date this meeting, $11,750 has been deposited with many other donations not yet
processed.
4. Next Meeting
The next meeting will be Monday, March 12, 2018 at 4:30 p.m.
5. Approval of September 19, 2017 Meeting Minutes. Approved 6-0.
