FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD
April 26, 2016

Present: Norman Cohen, Ed Grant, Peter Kelley, Paul Shupe and Alan Wrigley; Kristie
Demirev, Assistant Director of Youth and Family Services.
1. Money Available as of 3/31/16: Income $ 43,348
Principal $ 167,521
2. Human Services:
a. Human Services Report: January 20, 2016 to April 22, 2016 Kristie Demirev
reported on the procedure that the Human Services Department follows when
residents ask for help. Recipients of funding help must have a plan on how they will
deal with their issues in the future. During this period there were fewer requests for
fuel assistance as previously. During this period, funds were provided for rent
payments and utility bills.
b. Ratify Human Services Request - $1,000 for Eversource Bill -- Approved 5-0
c. Ratify Human Services Request - $1,324 for rent – Approved 5-0
3. Other Issues:
a. Request from Trustees of Public Trusts for $6,500 for Center Flower Barrels. Alan
Fields sent a message that he was in strong support of this request. -- Approved 5-0
4. Next Meeting – September 13, 2016, 4:30 p.m.
5. Approval of the January 19, 2016 minutes – Approved 5-0
