2 Human Services
a. Human Services Report: October 2, 2012 to January 8, 2013
Emily Lavine gave the Human Services report. The Human Services Emergency
Checking Account was used to pay a utility bill and a rental bill
b The Human Services Request to pay $500 00 for the purchase of Market Basket gift
cards was approved 4-0
c The Human Services Request to pay $2,000 for the Human Services Emergency
Checking Account was approved 4-0
d. The Veterans' Services Request to pay $9,361 90 for the Center Pool Flagpole
Memorial was approved 4-0 Ryan Lennon explained the request.
3 Other Issues
a. The request of the East Lexington Community Association for $1,638 00 to hang
wreaths on both sides of the telephone poles on one side of Massachusetts Avenue
from the Pleasant Street rotary to the Lexington/Arlington line was approved 4-0
Wilson Farm donated the labor
b The request of the Antony Working Group of the Tourism Committee for a
$5,000 contribution towards the design of Antony Park at the eastern end of
Tower Park was approved 4-0 contingent on a matching grant from the Trustees
of Public Trusts and continued private fundraising.
