( also from 7®30 to 8:00 P.M. ) in the Selectmen's ItOcm. Present were Messrs.Dav1s,Sm1th, Taylor, ''arsons and Howard. The secretary was instracted to write to Y'r.Fisher of the Cary Memorial Building Additions architects, approving the sample of gray paint to be used on the outside trim* Mr. Taylor hack. secured for the Commissions copies of the Town By-T-jaws and Mrs Carroll., Town Clerk, also gave the Commission two Census Books, It was decided to disapprove the application of biartints Drug Stone for the erection of the proposed sign on the grounds it was garish and inappropriate* A long discussion was held re, proper signs and an attempt will be made to come to a decision soon. Mr. Davis will continue to try to contact Mr.Jackson with regard to taking pictures of the existing signs® INC* A budget of $0-00,00 for 1958 was approved. Oct. 15s 195 A meeting was held by the Historic Districts Ccur ai sion. on Tuesday evesin , Oct. 15th., 1957 at 7:3C in the Selectmen's Room on the application of a.rtin's Drug Store for a certificate of aggro riatene,,a to erect a sign on the store at 1793 Mass. ATO. Present were Messrs. Parsons, Smith., Taylor, Davis and. Howard. Mr. Murpby, -axe::=ger of the store , showed up at 8:05 P.M. and said the owner of the stare was Mr,Robert Rideman and all. that r. Murphy knew was they wanted a sign., as per the sketch. submitted. The proposed sign is to be single Face , interior lighted,, plastic. Mr. Davis told Mr. Murphy that wile this was not exactly in our jurisdiction, the sign , as proposed was too high, The sign is to be erected on the Wass.Ave, side of the store.
