1. We acknowledged our departing board members, and introduced our new President, Vic
President and Secretary
2. We debriefed the Eyeglass Cleaning for Lexington Lions. Everyone had fun and was
productive. If done again, we would set up more stations and have less people per statio
We cleaned and dried 4 full boxes of glasses. We plan to do this event again next year.
3. We discussed new member application forms. Forms were given to members to
distribute to people they believe would be a good addition to the commission. Forms
must be given to Deb Hankins by Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
4. Next we discussed the Patriots Day Parade and who would be able to attend. We will
pass out flags during the afternoon parade at 2 pm. We are meeting at 1 pm in front of
the East Lexington Fire Station. Members should wear their LYC t-shirts and
sweatshirts. The people who said they could come are Alessia, Anthony, Annabel, Kati(
Cate, Patrick, Courtney, Millie, Maddie, Andrew, Elana, Carolyn, Ella, Regina, Patrick,
Becca, Lucas, Hobie, Marilyn, Matt, and Hannah. If members want to bring friends wh(
are in need of community service hours/ want to help out, they are welcome.
5. We will not be going to the Cotting School this year due to a change in manager.
6. We agreed to meet on Thursday, May 16 at 5:15 PM for LYC Island planting. This will
members who are interested in the specific event) to work directly with the Community
Center folks in late August or early Fall. More to come on this.
8. We will be meeting at 2:30 PM at Arlex Oil to decorate the golf cart for the Patriots Da
Parade. Anyone who can come should come to help.
