o Ms. Corduck shared an update regarding the budget - stating that Bowman was
going to reduce the Unit D staff fte by .52. She also stated that districtwide, 13
positions were scheduled to be cut. In some instances, retirements and not
replacing the individual will assist making the reduction in force achievable.
• Literacy Curriculum Update
o Ms. Corduck informed the council that the Literacy Steering Committee
recommended the district adopt "Arts & Letters". She explained that the
legislation had yet to pass the literacy bill, however, the decision to switch
curriculums is part of the natural progression when conducting a curriculum
review.
• Overview of Data Teams
o Ms. Corduck shared slides of the literacy and math benchmark assessments
summarizing what types of skills are assessed. She then displayed a sample of
the spreadsheets that are used to review the data related to assessments.
