MassDevelopment and Mass Office of Business Development Presentation
Alexandra Husted from Mass Office of Business Development discussed different programs that
the Office offers. These include Economic Development Incentive Program, Vacant Storefront
Projects, National Guard Tax Credit, MassCEO, and Business Front Door. Alexandra shared
information about how Business Front Door works, and how businesses can become involved
with permitting assistance. The group discussed how Lexington businesses can utilize the
Business Front Door.
After Alexandra concluded her presentation, Geetha Rao Romani from MassDevelopment
discussed different loan, grant and bond financing programs for businesses. Programs include
the Biz -M Power Grant, Property Assessed Clean Energy, Microloans, Brownfields Development
Fund, and Community One Stop for Growth. Further discussion from the group centered around
how and whether Lexington could apply for some of these programs.
With the presentations taking up the allocated committee time, no staff updates were given.
The next meeting was set for December 18 at 8:00am.
