• Initialize wDesk Document
o Loosely coordinated with Carolyn and Rosalyn.
o Usually requires some special requests to get key numbers linked.
o Most committee members don't understand how it all works.
• Set Up Project Assignment Spreadsheets (in wDesk)
o This is now managed as a set of sheets in the auxiliary "Data" spreadsheet.
• Assign Article Authors & Reviewers
o I don't mind doing this with committee feedback, but I worry that we get tend to get
siloed because it's easier to repeat prior assignments.
• Invite & Schedule Committee Guests
o We need to do much better on this.
o This could be delegated.
• Write Articles
o We always end up in a crunch at the end. Should we prioritize the timing of
completed articles for review? In other words, should we set reviewer deadlines for
articles?
• Update Appendices
o Alan and Eric have been handling these updates as needed.
o I would like to have another member shadowing them as a backup, and for future
assignments as the primary.
• Track Overall Progress
o Right now, this is hard to do. I think I remember Carolyn mentioning a wDesk feature
that might help. Other ideas? I shouldn't have to pester members with weekly
reminders.
o This could be delegated.
• Review & Edit Articles
o Again, this is much more of a pain than it needs to be. I want to discourage "editing
via comments" (where I have to implement the actual edits) and rely more on built-in
change tracking instead.
• Final Review
o Does everyone really read the whole report? Should they?
• Publication & Printing
o Assemble the current list of email recipients, including Kelly Axtel for web publication.
o Send announcement to TMMA list when web link is available.
o Submit print request to the LPS Print Shop (usually 20 copies).
o Set aside 10 copies for the committee and deliver 10 copies to the library (Select
Board doesn't need hardcopy these days).
