Summary
Residential Infill Housing Planning
The meeting focused on planning and organizing work related to residential infill and housing
initiatives. Ravneet, as chair, emphasized the importance of following formal procedures and
outlined plans to collaborate on tasks, including reviewing existing documents and brainstorming
names for their project. Participants discussed the revival of small homes, affordable housing efforts,
and the integration of missing middle housing concepts. Melanie shared resources, including a draft
bylaw from 2021, and planned to add more materials to the shared Google Doc. Joyce was reached
to clarify meeting schedules, and Paul expressed willingness to assist with less interesting tasks if
needed.
Housing Committee Research Planning
The group discussed naming and research topics for their housing committee work. They agreed on
the name "Expanding Housing Options" and assigned research areas: Joyce will study teardowns
and builder situations, Melanie will explore strategies for smaller home construction, and Paul will
focus on CPC funding processes. The committee decided to present their research at the Housing
Partnership Board meeting on the 20th, with each member giving a 1-2 minute overview of their
findings. They scheduled their next meeting for December 4th at 10am and agreed to meet again
after Thanksgiving rather than before.
