HomeMy WebLinkAbout2025-01-22-REC-min (Lincoln Park Subcommittee) (2) January 22 , 2025 Lincoln Park Committee Meeting Minutes January 22, 2025 Attending: Bob Pressman, Wei Wie Li, Paul Earsy, Brian Kelley, Joanne Shorter Meeting commenced at 5:15pm at Community Center Barnard and Parterre continue to do good work. Brian communicated to Barnard and Parterre the new procurement process, which would require them agreeing to terms and keeping annual billing under $10,000. This would likely require paring back the maintenance work based on the last two years of invoices. Draft contracts have been provided to Barnard and Parterre and they have indicated they are amenable to this arrangement. Replacement of Granite Forest trees has been less of a priority due to the focus being on the repair/replacement of boardwalk surfaces. Proposal from Foti indicated a drainage issue. Activitas Inc. provided an updated proposal for the Boardwalk repair/replacement of the surface, based on Brian's input they were able to reduce the fee from $50,000 to $20,000 by reducing the scope of the work. Discussion of Parker Meadow boardwalk and getting information for Peter Coleman that may be able to be applied to the Lincoln Park boardwalk replacement. Motion to approve moving forward with Activitas Inc. revised proposal dated 05 January 2025 titled: "Professional Design Services for the Upgrades to the Lincoln Park Boardwalks" to include Part 1: Basic Services and Part 2: Design Services not to exceed $20,000. Unanimous 4-0 vote in favor (Wei Wie Li is a non-voting member) Reviewed and discussed current Fitness station locations and scope would not include active area central stations and would focus on replacing existing stations closer to Worthen Road locations 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 maintaining a loop in the passive area, with removal of stations at locations: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. DPW has removed one or more stations already and may be able to help remove the others. Discussion of the Community Center fitness station area and getting information for Peter Coleman that may be able to be applied to the Lincoln Park fitness station replacement. Motion to ask the Recreation Committee to move forward with the Lincoln Park Fitness Station Equipment replacement of stations: 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 and removal of stations: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
