Pursuant to notice duly filed with the Town Clerk, the Semiquincentennial Commission (Lex250)
convened in a hybrid meeting in the Parker Room at the Town Office Building and via Zoom video
conference on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 4:30 pm by Ms. Barry as allowed by legislation (5.2475)
extending the suspension of certain provisions of the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law.

o Multiple stories slated to air on various networks for pre -event
• Conventures Updates -Ms. Rhodes
o DPW, Fire, and LexPD have been working closely with them
o Logistics around the Battlegreen are being sorted out with public safely folks and the Minutemen
o Parking inquires are coming in
o Five parking lots at Hartwell Ave -40 buses will be providing transportation
o Everyone will have credentials based on their role, fact sheet too
o Distribution will occur in the coming weeks
• Volunteer Update -Melanie Lin and Julie O'Leary
• 20ish volunteers signed up for PPP
o Volunteers needed for the parade
o Volunteers needed for April 19 concert -volunteer training on Kelty Hall on Saturday, April _
o Working with Bebe to put up decorations
• 32 volunteers needed for the Conventures events -They may use LHS volunteers who are juniors
and seniors
o Pins and water bottles will be distributed

o Witness House Banners are in the process of being hung up
o April 12 -Dr. Cunha reminded us about the new Depot Building opening
o Ms. Fallick had questions for Dave B. about the parking meter bows
o Ms. Rooney -mentioned that more people will be signed up
o April 17
■ 9:00-9:15 am press conference -4 speakers and MIMA director, public safety,
■ Ken Burns logistics -paper tickets with seat numbers
■ Community ticket distribution to be announced soon
■ VO250: Volunteer Recognition event -details shared by Ms. Jalelian, Mr. Lucente, and
Ms. Roy
o April 18
■ Zip Trip Channel 25 with Gene Lavanchy
■ Paul Revere's Ride
o April 19 -No rain date for any of these events!
■ First Student Bus Company Overview -starting at 2:00 a.m. about 3,000 parking spaces on
Hartwell and they can move about 15,000 people. Buses can move staging locations
based on time of day and event. Ms. Barry asked follow-up questions about
communications and involvement of EOC folks. See Lex250 for more information
o Conventures have hired security to enforce the rules
o Food vendors will be along the parade route
o April 20 -Arlington events will be in full swing
o April 21 -Patriotic Picnic In the Park
■ Food, beer garden, tent seating, Boston Pops and Keith Lockhart (11:45-12:15 only), The
band Malin, National Lancers, Paul Revere, William Dawes
■ Discussed parking, handicapped parking at the pool
o April 22 -Naturalization Ceremony
