Sandra Hackman will be full member of Housing Partnership • Board and Committee Bootcamp update-Bonnie, Sue, Sandra attended • Age Friendly Subcommittee update on meeting with Susan Barrett on transportation Sue Rockwell and Vineeta Kumar will work on new charge for COA Staff Reports Christine Dean • Annual fitness open house for classes starting January • Registration for programs begins December 2 • $3500 grant from National Recreation and Park Association featured the Recreation staff in their publication. Looking for new ideas for how to use, for example, bocce • Lincoln park boardwalk to be renovated, replacing fitness stations with 17 new ones. Hard to know how well they are/are not used • November is Caregiver Month o Caregiver Resources and Support with Alzheimer's Association 11/20 10-12 with lunch Michelle Kelleher, Senior Services Director • Existing parking passes being renewed, open for new apps when finished Kelsey Rollins, Senior Services Coordinator • November trip to Providence RI • New intergenerational program to start January, 2026 — an older person will be matched with a student for walks to school • Transportation training on Uber, Lyft 11/20 2-3 PM in person or zoom at 8 PM Dana Bickelman, Director Interviewing for new internal equity and community organizing roles Liaison Reports Minuteman Senior Services, Sudhir Jain attended MMSS 50th anniversary party Topic food insecurity and isolation of seniors 1:8 older people danger of hunger, lonely older people everywhere Will put food insecurity on agenda for Age Friendly Subcommittee FCOA Sudhir Letter for fund raising sent; updated bylaws accepted by Board Total assets for FCOA $5567000 Looking for new members Lexington Housing Authority- Sue Rockwell • Housing goals work with Cambridge consultant for redevelopment of 3 sites: • North Street, Wood Street • Countryside wiil be repositioned to Section 8 • Sue expressed concern about overwhelming the town • Residents come for home modifications • Lex Art event-need more diverse housing • Ideas: home sharing, insure people can remain in homes, need more brainstorming Disability Commission (DC)-Janet Creating a training for employers to work with disabled as equals; members to meet with engineer, DPW to discuss rotary concerns Housing Partnership (HP) — Sandra Hackman Met with other housing committees in town; list of priorities Selectmen want community consensus Mental Health & Wellness Task Force — Ellen Cameron no updates Vision for Lexington Jyotsna Kakullavarapu has withdrawn, looking for liason Lexington Center Committee-open, Sandra attended on transportation, parking management; new playground in Center Strategic Equity Advisory Team (SEAT) - Ellen Cameron no update Ellen ended COA meeting was Adjourned at 3:56 PM.
