Present were Koplow, Leader, Newman, Wik, Clough and Student Representative Krista Johanson. Also present were Zimmerman, Bent, DiGiammarino, Maclnnes and Barnes. Maureen Sullivan representing the Crisis Committee of the Lexing- PUBLIC PARTICIPA- ton Education Association read a statement regarding their concern TION with the progress of negotiations for this school year. Mr. Clough responded that the School Committee through Mr. Miller and Mr. Barnes were aggressively working with the negotiating team of the LEA. Scott Davis (the Second Season Players) reviewed some of their SECOND SEASON ~nae issues and related rental costs for use of a school. He asked PLAYERS theSchool Committee to help them out by providing an exception to rental coats. The School Committee took the matter under advisement. POLICY A Two-year Summary of the Horace MannGrants awards program under HORACE MANNChapter 188 of Massachusetts law was given to the School Committee by GRANTS Frank DiGiammarino. Dr. Zimmerman reviewed the NEASC Evaluation and Accreditation Fro- NEASC cess that would take place at Lexington High School during the 87-88 school year. She noted that the Steering Committee had been formu- lated by Dr. Waring and would oversee the self-study part during the 87-88 school year. Dr. Zimmerman said the entire process would be co- ordinated in the Lexington Public Schools by Paul Brown and he would speak at future School Committee meetings about the progress of the study. It was VOTED: to convene in Executive Session at 9:20 p.m. to discuss mat- ters pertaining to negotiations and potential litigation. Yes, Koplow; Yes, Leader; Yes, Newman; Yes, Wik; Yes, Clough.
