A meeting of the Lexington School Committee was held on Monday,
May 4, 1987 at 7:30 p.m. in the School Administration Building.
Present were: Koplow, Wik, Leader, Newman and Clough. Also present:
Pierson and Macinnes.
The School Committee reviewed strategy for making remarks to the TOWN MEETING
Town Meeting and in particular the request for reconsideration of PROPOSED FLANS
Article 6 in order to provide a supplementary appropriation cf $50,000
to meet unanticipated expenses in the 35-86 school budget. The School
Committee also reviewed the report on fiscal year 88 reductions which
was to be given under Article 2.
Mrs. Leader expressed noncern that according to her information LHS GRADUATION
there would be no High School administrators present at the gradua- PARTY
tion party. She and others expressed hope that this concern would be
alleviated. •
A brief discussion of user fees occurred with the alternative that USER FEES
an activities fee be explored. No action was taken on the matter.
