entrance The Commission determined a feasible solution would be to have a handrail installed.
Town Hall Sidewalk
• As previously indicated the Commission has concerns about the use of brick.
• The Commission believes aggregated concrete would be a viable solution.
• There will be an opportunity to view samples and see a test pour before a final determination
on the type of material that will be used is made
Selectman Goal Setting Ideas
• The school renovation plan is already in process A question was raised about the status of the
Clark Middle School elevator replacement project. It is scheduled to be replaced this summer
once the school year has concluded. A building permit has already been issued.
• The location of catch basins in relation to the curb cuts needs attention. The group
brainstormed about the possibility of having a seminar for individuals involved in the design
and building process The goal of the seminar would be to provide education around
accessibility concerns The topic will be investigated further and a follow up discussion will be
held through email.
Discovery Day
• Victoria asked for volunteers to help staff the Commission's booth at discovery day A
schedule will be determined.
Photovoice Grants
• Unfortunately, the grants that were submitted were denied due to the scale of the project.
Mass DOT Public Hearing- Mass Ave Reconstruction Project
• There is a possibility of having stop lights installed at the following three intersections Marrett
Rd & Mass Ave, Maple St & Mass Ave, Pleasant St & Mass Ave
• The Commission supports the need for safety, however worries about the increase of cut-
through traffic in the residential areas Stop lights are not always the best option.
• Data regarding the impacts of traffic flow will be presented to the Board of Selectman on
Monday, May 11th.
• Currently the Commission doesn't have enough information to take further action.

• A concern was raised about the lack of accessibility at the Munroe Center for the Arts It was
suggested that a representative from Munroe be invited to speak with our Commission.
