The Lexington School Committee held a special meeting at House J,
Lexington High School, on Tuesday afternoon, October 25, 1977, at 4:00
p.m. Those in attendance were: Swanson, Gaudet, Hoffman, Brown, Michel-
man. Also present were: Lawson, Barnes, Maclnnes, Pierson and DiGiam-
marine.
Frank DiGiammarino, Coordinator of Planning, conducted a workshop PROGRAM
session for the School Committee concerning the new Program Budgeting BUDGETING &
and Accounting System, designed for the Lexington Public Schools by the ACCOUNTING
firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. He reviewed the processes of bud- SYSTEM
get development, budget review, transfer procedures, the variety of re-
ports, and types of information that would be retrieved for the School
Committee and Administration in the new system.
Following the workshop presentation, Dr. DiGiammarino responded to
questions from the School Committee.
It was voted to adjourn at 5:20 p.m. (Hoffman, Michelman, Unanimous) ADJOURNMENT
