Lexington Youth Commission
Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday, February 14th, 2019
Members Present: Bess Lawrence, Anthony Mabardy, Katie Devine, Patrick
Kridarahkorn, Alessia Caira, Charles Mabardy, Annabel Cincotta, Andrew Lawrence,
Marilyn Swinger, Regina Tashjian, Ella Thomas, Deb Hankins, Shannon DeGuglielmo,
Myles Cutler, Annika Richter, Max DiCerbo, Rachel Harvey, Hannah Caltaldo, Karen
Duperey, Matthew Favazzo, Jack Maloney, Summer Spencer, Zoe Toulmin, Joe
Hankins, Jim Athens, and Maria Schapfel.
Members Absent: Cate Swan, Millie Landis, Mehr Khurana, Ishaan Khurana, Kristina

Carolyn Lane.
1. We debriefed out Cradles to Crayons event. It went really well and was a lot of fun.
It was really well organized and went very smoothly. We were in the outfit section
and put outfit packs together for different ages, sizes and genders. Karen explained
to those who weren't at the event how Cradles to Crayons works and what happens
to the donations. We decided that we would like to do it again next year and we will
plan for that.
2. We recapped our Valentine's Day luncheon at the Community Center. Despite the
weather, it went really well and the people there had a lot of fun.
3. We discussed helping the Lion's Club with their eyeglass cleaning. We will do this
during our March meeting on Thursday, Marth 14th 6:30-8:00 PM. Note that this is
30 minutes earlier than our usual meeting time. This is so we can have more time to
clean more eyeglasses. Our goal is to clean 2,000 glasses. Any friends that need
community service hours can come as well. Everyone should plan on coming to this
meeting.
4. We discussed the Patriot's Day Parade on April 15th. We are going to get a golf cart
and we will have 10,000 American flags. We will meet at 1:00 in front of the
Firehouse. The logistics will be specified closer to the date.
5. We talked about new member applications. New members must have a
recommendation from a member in LYC. We will have interviews for any new
applicants.
6. We have ordered the t-shirts and they will be in for the next meeting
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, March 14th 2019 at 6:30- 8:00 PM at the Community
Center.
