Committee members and liaisons present:
Sandy BeeBee, Narain Bhatia, George Burnell,Judith Crocker, Jay Flynn, Sara
Iverson, Carolyn Kosnoff, Doug Lucente, Bridger McGaw, Sanjay Padaki, David
Pinsonneault
Doug Lucente called the meeting to order at 7pm.
Member Introduction and Committee Charge
Mr. Lucente thanked voting members and liaisons for agreeing to be part of this
committee. He reviewed the committee charge, roles, and proposed timeline for
delivery of its report for the annual Town Meeting. Members and liaisons
introduced themselves. As a liaison, Mr. Lucente will preside as Committee Chair.
Prior Selectmen Reports
The following reports that have been previously presented to the Board of
Selectmen were reviewed:
• Westview Building (Partial) Timeline
• Westview Building Proposed Site and Floor Plans
The discussion included a review of the building requirements for personnel and
public use.
Additional documents that serve as background materials and reports of similar
work performed by the town of Littleton will be emailed to the Committee.
Committee Officers
• As temporary Clerk,Judy Crocker will take and file minutes for the first
meeting.
• As the permanent Clerk, Sandy BeeBee will take and file minutes for all
future minutes.
Preliminary Work Plan
An outline of the potential work plan and deliverables was presented and agreed
upon by members. How each item relates to the Committee's scope was discussed.
Assignments include:
• Review of Applicable Legislation -Jay Flynn
• Evaluation of Needs- Narain Barain, George Burnell,Judy Crocker
• Other Crematories: Sara Iverson
• Building Options; Bridger McGaw
• Operational Feasibility: Bridger McGaw, Sanjay Padaki
• Environment: Jay Flynn
Committee Meeting Schedule
Being cognoscente of annual Town Meeting,the following dates were agreed upon
as the Committee's future meeting schedule:
• December 20
• January 9
• January 22
• February 6
• Public Hearing on February 7
• Board of Selectmen Meeting March 5
• March 25 Annual Town Meeting
AT 9:20PM, a motion to adjoin was made by Mr. Lucente and seconded by
Ms.BeeBee.
