Meeting Minutes for October 3,2018
Committee Members Present: David Williams. Lynne Mlson,Joanne Shorter, Bob
Pressman. Also attending,Wes Wirth and Lisa O'Brien
Review granite forest bids. Partere has withdrawn their bid. The Town agreed that
Parterre could withdraw their bid and the bid would be awarded to Belko
Wes spoke with John at Belko and Belko indicated that they could start work on the
granite forest as early as late Fall 2018. Belko will be responsible for all grading and
hardscape(paths,stones, benches,walls etc).Wes reports that John at Belko was very
accommodating
The budget for all'phase 1"work will be about$125,000. The committee has raised
about$60,000 specifically for the granite forest project.
The committee agreed to continue pushing forward with Seiko and we would consider
outreach and publicity endeavors such as an article in The Colonial Times,a Facebook
page and a pamphlet.
Bob Pressman mentioned a hurting Dawn Redwood and significant invasive species.
The committee took a formal vote to award the contract to Belko. The vote was
unanimous 4-0 in favor,
