Business Meeting Minutes

• Corin Stembridge provided an update on the Cary Library Strategic Plan, in addition to an effort
to provide more accessible services for special needs programs for kids and teens.
• Ms. Stembridge and Ms. Lauzon provided an update on a survey in progress to better
understand the need for more programs and physical space for the Children's Room, including
the possibility of holding special sensory-friendly hours.
• Treasurer Update: Current balance is-$5467.62.
• Meeting minutes from January 9, 2018 were approved.
• Calendar Review:
0 3/15/18: Jessica Minahan
0 3/26/18 7:00-8:30 pm: Hallowell ADHD (expecting lots of interest, will need to
monitor registrations)
0 4/7/18: Resource Fair at the FUSE Center.
0 5/8/18 9:00-10:30: Business meeting
0 6/7/18 9:00-10:30: Business meeting
• Robin to research costs and logistics of buying PTA Insurance..
• LexPride discussion:
o Attendees discussed idea of partnering on joint speakers and events, as well as the need
to follow LGBT-friendly guidelines when assessing speakers and presentations.
• ILP 3 update: NECC contract was recently canceled without input or notification to parents.
• Clarke DLP audit report scheduled to be presented to School Committee at May 8 meeting.
