Open Session Minutes
June 28,2018
A Meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on June 28,2018 at 8:45 a.m.in the Reed Meeting Room of the Town Nall Building.
In attendance: Gregory Johnson,Chairman,Edmund C.Grant,Member,Casimir Groblewski,Member, Robert F. Lent„Director of Assessing,
and Sandra Pentedemos,Administrative Assessor.
The Chairman,Gregory Johnson called the Meeting to order at 8:45 a.m.
Open Session
Public Comment Time: None present.
There were no discussions of Financial Issues including Overlay Fund.
Chairman Johnson made a motion that the Board of Assessors go into Executive Session under Purpose 7 in order to deliberate Fiscal Year
2018 Statutory Exemptions,Real Estate Abatement Applications and Personal Property Abatements since deliberation in Open Session could
be detrimental to potential appeal or litigation matters,consistent with requirements and practices specified in the Open Meeting Law Guide.
The Board voted,3-0 in favor to go into Executive Session at 9:00 a.m.

Upon motion duly made and seconded,the Board of Assessors adjourned the Executive Session at 11:00 a.m.and returned to Open Session
of the Meeting.
Open Session
The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of approving the filing deadline of extension requests from two Fiscal Year 2018 Clause 41A Tax
Deferral Exemptions.Extensions may be granted beyond the 3 months of filing. Once the applicants obtain signatures on the Tax Deferral and
Recovery Agreement from the beneficial parties of legal interest,The Board voted to approve the two Fiscal Year 2018 Clause 41A Tax
Deferral Exemption applications,after receipt of the Tax Deferral and Recovery Agreements(Form 97-1).The Board deem denied the
remaining Fiscal Year 2018 Clause 41A Tax Deferral Exemption applicants inability to the obtain approval signatures for the Tax Deferral and
Recovery Agreements. (See List in Executive folder).
There were no Fiscal Year 2018 Chapter 59,Section 59 Real Estate and Personal Property Abatement applications to discuss.
There were no discussions of the Fiscal Year 2019 Form 3ABC Applications.
The Board discussed pending Appellate Tax Board litigations. Voted in the affirmative to appeal Appellee open case.
The Board voted to approve the Meeting Minutes of(3/22/18,3/27/18,4/5/18,4/12/18,4/19/18,and 4/26/18).
There were no discussions of scheduling future Board of Assessors Meetings to be held.
There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded at 11:35 a.m.to adjourn the Meeting.
