One bid was received for the Federal tree removal and pruning project. The job
was estimated to cost $125,000.00 to remove and prune approximately 100 trees.
Mayer Tree Service Inc. submitted a bid for $73,774.00. We have worked with
them in the past and were pleased with them. Some residents have concerns about
the project. It has been explained that rotting trees pose a danger and should be
removed.

their bond in the amount of$4,608.00.
They have also issued a Change Order 41 in the amount of$15,926.00. As they
were digging out the inner circle, it was discovered that there is approximately 8
inches of asphalt that needs to be removed. Typically, it is 3-4 inches, so this is
double the amount to be removed and replaced.
