Reports/Updates:
• Discussion of dates for upcoming meetings.
• Discovery Day is Saturday of Memorial Day weekend - GCC will have brochures/maps out.
• The Hayden Woods boardwalk is moving along well.
• Mike not in attendance for update on Wright Farm/Landlocked Forest link.
• Will have update on QR code progress at next meeting.
• Spring Route repairs - Bob will take care of signs at Whipple Hill. Rte B needs some work at
the bridges at Clarke School. Meagherville is especially muddy. The post at Summer St en-
trance to Whipple Hill needs to be re-set.
• Presentations on Routes J & K went to Recreation and Conservation. Recreation has given
conditional approval for signs at Adams Playground, waiting until the road improvements
have been made. We should make sure ped/bike access is maintained with road work.
Melissa Batite is helping with easement issues. The Conservation Commission approval was
also conditional, on straitening out the issue of the Peacock Farm Rd access point to Suther-
land Woods. It needs to be surveyed, and there is a question of administrative oversight on
payment for such services. *Long discussion ensued.
Current Business:
• Goal setting memo for Select Board was approved.
New Business:
• Belmont Country Club land development - GCC should keep an eye on this, and lobby for
trail connections.
Pending Items:
• Concord Ave land management plan (Alex)
• Recruiting volunteers - add to fall agenda
Next Meeting: July 24, 2018, 4:30-6:OOpm, Ellen Stone Room (not June 28 as previously set)
Future meeting dates: Sep 20, Oct 11, Nov 15, Dec 20 (please note that these are NEW dates)
