1. Hastings Update— Michael Burton & Christina Shefferman (Dore & Whittier), Donna DiNisco &

Minutes submitted by Christina Shefferman.
Dore &Whittier to present 60% CD Estimate for review and acceptance. Agenda:
• 60% CD Cost Estimate Reconciliation Recap
• Construction Budget Comparison/Progression
• Total Project Budget
• Value Engineering
Approval to submit 60% CD Submission
• -Reconciliation recap:
• Reconciliation held w/ DiNisco, Walsh, & DWMP on 5/18/18 @ WBI Office
• Estimates from Walsh Brothers and AM Fogerty were reconciled to a .35% Variance
• AMF Reconciled estimate to be used for 60% CD Submission to MSBA(June 4th, 2018)
o Budget Development (side by side slide):
$52,973,418 TPB (PFA) same as last meeting
o Under budget by $17,828 Contingency's change/decrease as design is developed
0 60% CD Cost Estimate Summary:
Remaining construction (to buy) $29,438,987
Recommend tonight the $17,828 goes back into escalation, maintain number
(MSBA, will take grant money back, so want to keep same number)
o Total Project Budget:
Total Construction cost (including recommended VE) $52,973,418
Soft Costs $10,306,000

Discussion on VE list as Applicable
Don't need to exercise any VE.
Have updated ROM's estimated at (600k)
Motion to approve the TPB for MSBA 60% CD submission with total construction cost at
$52,973,418 and total project budget of$65,279,418. Seconded -APPROVED
Discussion:
Q: Have the GC's-been established? Yes. Number of full time equivalence during construction. Varies,
but consistently 5. Super., Asst. Super., PM, APM, Field Engineer, Safety, PX.
Q: Cost if full time safety worker on site? Start of steel through full construction 18-20 months. Full time
safety $8k a month, $100k minus what is already been carried. OPM, onsite clerk, PM, Px, APM.
Q: What awards are to be made between now and the fall? Temp gas lines, waterproofing. Small GMP,
and final GMP Oct/Nov. On site 6/4 surveyors. Officially on site 6/8.
Q; Is any VE needed to make budget? After joint PBC/SC meeting, already took some of the low
hanging.
Q;Any deduct alternates? Not at this point.
Due diligence to make most cost-effective building possible
Q; Solar in parking lot? Not at this time, still working on RFP.
