ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE (Describe important architectural features and
evaluate in terms of other buildings within the community.)
This unusual house, set very close to a nineteenth century farmhouse at
116 Woburn Street, was apparently converted from a former auto repair garage.
Evidence of its former use is the hoist still present in the gable of the
facade. The building material is a further oddity: three sides of the house
are of granite cobblestones, _grey on the Vine Street side and pink on the
others. The gambrel-roofed profile plus the fact that this building does not
appear on the 1906 map suggests it was built in the 1920s or 1930s.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE (Explain the role owners played in local or state

According to the 1935 Sanborn atlas, the first available map since 1906
that shows structures on this section of Woburn Street, at that time this
building was a .
